FINISH RATES OF FEED

To find the number of marks per inch: RPM x number of knives divided by (feet per minute x 12)

Feed rate directly affects the finish quality of the work. If the rate is too slow, knives dull more quickly and burning occurs.

For all jointed heads refer to the appropriate column. For unjointed heads, refer to column 1.
