There are no machine modifications or special skills required and the use of jack screws or springs, setting gauges, jigs or measuring tools is completely eliminated. ‘SELF- SET’ takes advantage of Dispoz-a-Blade’s two part technology. SELF- SET is as easy as snapping the disposable double edge knife on the holder and sliding the holder and knife into the knife pocket until the stops contact the outside surface of your cutter head.
SELF- SET eliminates all the time and frustration associated with changing knives and is much more economical than buying and re-sharpening standard knives. Dispoz-a-Blade’s trade tough German made HSS double edge knives are always factory sharp. Now you can accurately change blades instantly in your 6 and 8” jointer.

2. Snap the Dispoz-A-Blade HSS knife on SELF-SET holder so that both bevels match.
3. Drop assembled SELF-SET in your cutter head knife pocket until the stops contact the top of cutter head on the rear edge of the knife pocket. Tighten the gib bolts
4. DONE!
